Senior College

Canada’s first university retiree centre, Senior College provides a base for retired faculty, librarians and senior administrators of the University of Toronto where they can continue their connection with and service to the university and carry on their scholarly and professional activities. All retired faculty, librarians and senior administrators automatically become members of Senior College. Members are entitled to the services provided by the Senior College Centre and to attend and participate in the College’s academic events and activities. Members who wish to become more involved in the life of Senior College can become Fellows. All Fellows will be required to pay a fee to support the College’s programs.

The Senior College Centre provides managed access to shared office space at the University’s St. George Campus, (location and contact information)  including the use of:

  • lockers in which to store files and other personal property
  • 8 bookable carrels wired for power and direct internet access, providing quiet, private workspace on the St. George campus
  • a comfortable and welcoming reception area/lounge with kitchenette facilities

The links on the right showcase the breadth of services and activities provided by Senior College.  We invite all retirees to volunteer for the Speakers Bureau, have an Art Show, or join Senior College as a Fellow.
